I converted the rpm files to tgz, bit there appears to be too many differences between RH and Slack for the drivers to work.

I also tried sharing the printer under cups on the CentOS box and trying to print through the CentOS system, but the printer just hangs while sending data, and required a power off to reset it. I have found Brother’s Linux support to be generally pretty good. Help answer threads with 0 replies. Try running the install script after opening a C shell eg csh.
